    Frequently asked questions

    How can I find an I-Transfer location?

    I-transfer has a network of authorized agents and company owned stores in all of the countries where it holds a presence. To find a location, you can contact our customer service department through our “contact us” section.

    What documents do I need to send money?

    In Spain, it is mandatory to present a personal identification card (DNI, government-issued ID card from your country of origin, Passport or residency card), however, depending on the amount sent, country and paying entity, it may be necessary to present additional documents. Please contact our Customer Service department through our web page to request additional information.

    How can I send money using I-Transfer?

    Once you have identified an I-Transfer agent, go in with the amount you want to send. The agent will input all of the information into our on-line system and it will be automatically sent to our headquarters. The agent will give you a receipt for the transaction with a reference number written on it. Once the transaction is finished it will be sent to the destination country.

    How can I know if the beneficiary has received the money?

    To verify if the transaction has been paid, you can always contact our customer service department via our contact web page.

    What is the maximum amount I can send with I-Transfer?

    The maximum amount allowed by law varies from country to county and in many cases can be increased if you provide additional documentation and depending on the destination country as well.

    What are the fees to send money to my country of choice?

    The commission paid will vary depending on where you are sending the money to and the amount being sent.

    How long does it take for the money to arrive to the destination?

    The money is usually available within two hours. Depending on the time zone of the destination country however, it could happen that the beneficiary is not able to collect it until the next day.

    What are the hours of operation of I-Transfer´s customer service department?

    Our customer service hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – midnight, Saturdays 10:00- Midnight and Sundays noon to 10:00 PM

    How will my money be paid at its destination?

    Depending on the payment option you have selected, as well as the country of payment and the payer being used, the money may be paid out as cash pick-up, as bank deposit or even delivered to the beneficiary’s home (if service is available on the destination country).

    If additional documentation is requested, how do I send it to I-Transfer?

    Any and all additional documentation presented must be brought in to the agent where the transaction was initially processed.

    Can I cancel my transaction if it has not been paid yet?

    Yes, you may request a cancellation. In order to do so, you must go to the agent where the transaction was done, fill out a cancellation request form and wait for us to confirm if it is still viable to cancel the transaction.

    We will do our best to process your request; however we cannot guarantee the cancelation until our payment correspondent confirms that the money has not yet been paid to the beneficiary. If the transfer has been completed, we are no longer able to cancel it. We will inform you of the status of your transaction as paid.

    If I cancel a transaction, when and where will the money be returned to me?

    Once our correspondent has confirmed that the money has not been paid out to the beneficiary, we will give back the money at the same agent location where the transaction was originally done and where you requested and processed the cancellation.
